The aim of this study was to determine the diversity of opinions , as well as thematic, geographic and cultural diversity of content in the news program of local media in Niš. During the research, the authors attention was focused on the following issues:
What topics from the life of the city receive primacy as important for citizens?
What entities journalists associated with specific topics, whose attitudes are transmitted as relevant and in what way?
That all social groups have the opportunity to place advertisements in the local media and how their views and interpretations differ?
What participation and publicity to inform citizens receive government representatives, political parties (ruling and opposition)?
